Description:

Following are the minimum qualifications for the job:

  • A minimum of 4 years of mortgage experience that must include processing, underwriting submissions and closing documentation for 20-30 units/month
  • Knowledge and understanding of the 2010 GFE, TIL and RESPA regulations
  • Working knowledge of FHA/VA/CONV and Bond loans
  • Ability to work with limited guidance
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Computer skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple pipelines under production deadlines
  • Experience in operation of mortgage loan processing and closing system/software, preferably Encompass
  • Committed to excellence in customer service
  • Ability to manage a high volume, demanding pipeline and achieve quality and production standards while handling the demands and stress associated with deadlines
  • Detail oriented, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to make timely credit decisions in accordance with company and investor guidelines, while balancing risk vs. profit
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products

This position is responsible for the following:

  • Review of initial GFE and subsequent re-disclosures for completeness and accuracy to ensure all applicable fees are properly disclosed within the defined timeframes.
  • Review loan application package for completeness and accuracy to ensure that all required forms, fees, and/or documentation have provided by the borrower and appropriate fees have been collected. Collects and analyzes information regarding the customer’s income, assets, investment and debts; determines if information provided meets the stated regulatory and product guidelines and/or DU/LP/CLOUT or other underwriting engine requirements.
  • Interacts with third party providers in the ordering, collecting and analysis of related loan information (i.e. appraisals, title commitments, flood certifications, insurance, pest inspections, etc.). Obtains and/or provides necessary information (i.e. loan applications, disclosures, credit documents, appraisals, etc.) to process and complete mortgage loan files (i.e. orders appraisals, credit reports, evidence of insurance, etc.) in accordance with stated regulatory and product guidelines and/or DU/LP/CLOUT or other underwriting engine requirements.
  • Verifies and validates supporting income, asset and liability documentation to verify automated decision for accuracy and completeness. Decisions the analysis results to determine if an underwriting review is required; clears underwriting conditions, if applicable; and may propose appropriate resolution or alternative when information analysis reveal guideline exceptions.
  • Throughout the process coordinates with the loan originator and borrower with a commitment to service excellence. Corresponds with all parties involved on all outstanding processing items.
  • Produces a quality closing package and facilitates an efficient and timely loan closing. Prepares closing documents. Generates closing instructions.
  • Forwards closing package and funding check to Closing Agent upon approval. Coordinates final loan closing, maintains closing calendar and notifies all parties upon closing date. Monitors daily reports to manage pipeline.
