Following are the minimum qualifications:

• Two to five years experience required in traditional mortgage banking to include 1st Mortgage and A Paper origination.
• Established business showing $10 Million Closings for the past two years preferred.
• Maintains working knowledge of FHA, VA, RD and Conventional (Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, private investors and private mortgage insurance, etc.) origination and underwriting guidelines.
• Maintains working knowledge of state and federal regulations involving mortgage lending and originations.
• Sales Skills evidence by successful origination/closing track record.
• Self Motivated.
• Ability to work in a production-oriented environment
• Excellent communication and PC skills
• Ability to handle conflicting priorities and work with minimal direction
• Attention to detail and follow-up

This position is responsible for the following:

• Solicits the business, conducts pre-counseling and the application interview with the applicant.
• Discusses the different loan types and programs available to meet the borrowers¿ needs providing the necessary disclosure.
• Collecting/analyzing the appropriate documents and fees.
• Responsible for Compliance on their files.
• Properly quotes and locks rates with the borrower and advises secondary.
• Completes the application form (via computer using origination software) and submits through automated underwriting (utilizing Fannie Mae DU) resolving issues until approve/eligible or traditional loan decision is rendered.
• Oversees progress on loan file maintaining communication with the processor and staying in touch with borrower, realtor, builder, closing agent, as needed. LO should advise borrower/realtor of critical items.
• Attend Loan closings.
